Re: Beast versus man on Bidean nam Bian

Great words and pictures. One of my favourite places especially the Lost Valley which I have visited a few times on its own and a few including the mountain. You feel the history in Glencoe and even more so in the Lost Valley. Cheers :D

Re: West Highland Way: Solo From Drymen to Fort William

Great trip. The Beinglas farm campsite is one of my favourites too even though they have a strange curfew rule that locks you out after 11pm if you nip along to the Drovers Inn :( 20 kilos is tough going. I got mine down just below 15. I have a new tent now and if I manage to get a new rucksack this...

Re: Multi Munro Bagging

When it comes to munro bagging anything counts, there are no rules. Folk generally just do their own thing. A lot of folk like to walk from a car park all the way to the top others will take bikes, canoes, trains, mountain trains, ferries, cable cars etc. for part of the way. Thousands of people hav...

Re: Multi Corbett Bagging

DarrenJeffrey wrote:Hello all,

is there a multi hill corbett route similar to the Glen Shiel Ridge etc where a few corbetts can be bagged in one outing?

Thanks

Daz

No. There are no load of corbetts as easy as the South Glen Shiel Ridge.

Quinag has 3 - probably one of the best for combining corbetts. :D

Re: Put up a tent near Mhaighdean

I agree you cant rely on the weather in May or October but if I had an even choice I would choose May. Also I dont take midgies into consideration when planning a trip. I always think they are a bit over exaggerated in general. Ive stayed in the bothy at Carnmore a couple of times. It,s a bi...
