Solo. Off work with stress.

Beautiful day. Sunny and warm.

Didn't meet a soul.

Beinn Heasgarnich

JPM club. Niall, Ana, Francesca, Samriti, Umesh. Wetter than the showery forecast. Summit in low cloud but broke up enough for some views but the summit was clear after we'd descended - always the same! The sun did come out on the way down and out was quite lovely. The route wasn't near as dodgy or ...

Carn Liath & Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain

JPM club. First outing without Ken who retired two weeks ago. Niall. Ana. Umesh. Samriti. Ashra (I think). Low cloud. Broke up at times for good views. Drizzle became more persistent in later afternoon. A long day and a long drive. Had to charge Leaf there and back. Umesh had a drone which produced ...

An Stuc at third attempt

Previous attempts prevented by white-out on Beinn Ghlas and then extremely windy and stormy conditions on route to Ben Lawers. In contrast, today couldn't have been better. Lovely sunny day. Bit breezy which itself was warm at times. Plenty of time spent sitting in the sun admiring the landscape at ...

Schiehallion. Aborted attempt

Jpm club. Ken's last one as leader because he is retiring. Didn't make it to the top. Made it to 960m and turned back. Extremely windy. Quite a lot of snow on the ground and being blown. More moved in. Most people we met had also turned back. Only two guys said they'd made it. Gave Svet and Reyna a ...

Beinn Chabhair

JPM club. Only 5 of us: Ken, Svet, Vlad, Ingrid, me. Not too cold. Visibility wasn't very good on way up but it broke up near summit. Lovely views. Colin Prior photo standard. Club's 200th Munro. Snow coverage was wide but not deep. Still needed crampons. Though we left at 09:00, we were last off th...

JPM. Ken, Bartosz, Jack, Vlad & Ingrid, Emma & Mark. Another beautiful day. Windy at height. Dry. Sunny. Some clouds but none on these two. Fantastic views. Looking south was amazing because the sun shone through a haze which accentuated the profiles of the hills. Marvelous. Even the sunset ...

JPM club. Ken, Alan, Philipe, Christine, Emma, Vlad. It's been hot and sunny for days but the weather broke on Saturday. Forecast was bad but actual weather wasn't as bad. Very little wind. Meall Glas

JPM club. 10 of us. Some new people. Absolutely amazing day. Hot and sunny. Only wore one layer all day. Plus shorts! Very light breeze. First time with new boots. Scarpa fabric boots. My leather Scarpas turned out to be too small hence the pain and discomfort. New ones are size 8. £240 incl differe...

Ben Chonzie JPM family day

Approx 30 people. We filled the car park! Fantastic day's weather. Hot (yes, really!) and sunny. Even converted trousers to shorts. Visibility was a little hazy. Breezy on top. Straightforward walk. Near enough 90% on a track.
