I wonder if Krankauer used his journalist skills to spice up into thin air and that’s why he had such a dig at Boukreev ye can't trust a journalist can you by adding a bit a scandal he knew it would be a better seller. I will certainly be reading some of the climbing books you fellas have been recom...

Just finishing of reading the climb and really enjoyed this book as well so it is 10 out a 10 again for me :clap: . Mibee not as well written as into thin air but still a great read and I do agree with anatoli boukreev that as a guide his job was setting ropes and leading up front not molly cuddling...

Bra report fella :clap: And would just like to add that you can get great photos of harbour and over Aberdeen by popping over to the elevated 1st hole at nigg bay there is a seat between 1st hole and 2nd tee probably for a rest as the first hole is bordering on a sub 2000 er lol :lol: Beech walk at ...

Don't know in what way it's been revised, but generally 'The Climb' by Anatoly Boukreev - the Russian slandered by Krakauer in the first edition - is seen as the more reliable account. A better book, too. It’s clear they had different views on what happened and also on boukreevs position as a guide...

Am-FM seems to work okay on the cairngorm summits.

I purchased a pair of Tiso alpine gaiters for 15 quid to try during the winter months as I don’t normally wear gaiters .Not to sweaty in cold conditions and are comfortable to wear and do the job for 15 quid ah reckon they are good value if like me you only use them in the winter.
