Foss mine Corbetts

First hills for ages for me and even longer for Naomi. Mine was quiet. Good day, nice walk, set off + return early due to landlord visit which ended up being a day later.

Fife Coast Path: St Andrews-Elie

Naomi in London this weekend. Had hoped to wild camp and walk the Luss Grahams but forcast for high winds and low level snow showers put me off. Set a reasonable pace, felt like I could keep going on to Largo but that would leave me getting home pretty late for tea so bailed at Elie. Sunshine/sunny ...

Mor Bheinn and Beinn Dearg

Took advantage of decent weather, though was without Naomi and hoping to not tire too much due to two tennis matches on following day. Beat Naismith by 20 mins! Could have done with an ice axe for ~5m but wouldn't have been a dangerous fall

Kingsbarns to Pittenweem

Fife coast path with Naomi, would have gone for S2K/Grahams but v. high winds +snow forecast put us off. It was a good choice as we had a fair amount of sun and no rain while walking. Unfortunately the hot chocolate cafe in Pittenweem was full.

North Fife S2K's Part 3: Cairnie Hill

Ironically, given the name, there is no cairn on the top of this hill!

North Fife S2K's Part 1:Mount Hill

Up Mount Hill to Hopetoun Monument with Naomi. Shunned the larger hills due to snow/wind/wanting to spend longer in bed!

Re: Glen Douglas Grahams: gratuitous forestry & a big Plum D

Nice route/report. Hopefully will do something similar soon but maybe without a crawl through the plantation!

Cat Law and Corwharn, Naomis first Grahams

Naomis first Grahams Nice walk with Naomi, tested out her new waterproofs: rain/snow/hail on way up Cat Law, only occasional showers thereafter. Even saw some blue sky and sunshine at the end of the walk. Finished before dark (which wasn't guarenteed) but I had not realised that it would get dark as...

Fife coast path to kingsbarns

Fife coast path with Naomi, walked out, missed 4.30 bus back by a minute, went to the pub (was decent) and caught next). Rain early, drizzle later, walking into wind. Was nice to get out.

Probably because she appears to have lost her right arm, possibly in a freak climbing accident?

Or she's already been introduced to Caberfeidh

Kinder scout-ish

With Naomi, our first Hewitt on last day of year. Think I'm counting it but only got to trig point at height 633m not post at 636m. Trig looked higher anyway! V. wet weather on the drive but didn't get rained on during walk, initially plateau shrouded in cloud though eventually cleared, some sun lat...

Glen Artney Donald and Graham/Donald

On my own again, Naomi doing final day of assignments. Sunny weather, largely without cloud, above freezing and the snow on the Munros had largely melted (wouldn't have had a problem going up one). Intended to add S2k Ben Clach but decided against it as it would have meant walking back to car in the...

Grahams by Height

Think I've found a tiny bug....When I list Grahams by height (http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/grahams/grahams-height) the Grahams I've climbed are not highlighted in green, unlike if I order them otherwise, or if I look at Corbetts etc.

South Glenshee Grahams & Meall Mor

Just me today. Hard frost the previous night, snow on the Munros from last week. Sunny and cold throughout, hardly any wind (the odd light breeze) combining for probably the best weather all year! Part 1 Mount Blair d=4.5km, A=388m, t=1hr45min Frosty. Nice new viewfinder, though needed to scrape the...
