Re: A Keg for the Meet!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure I'm a hardened enough drinker to sup with you seasoned ale-drinkers..... me and Stevie v are lightweights in comparison. Playing it safe and bringing our own.... along with some quality vodka I was given recently as a duty free pressie.... :D :D :D

Found - glasses on B.E.M.

Found on a wee rock on the plateau as you climb Coire na Tulaich towards Stob Dearg on B.E.M. Thought it a strange place to leave them.... a long way up to recover them so I brought them down to the entrance path at the walk start. Feel free to share.....

Re: Ben ledi

Hi Gary, I did this one 2 weeks ago and the path through the forest is blocked by fallen trees so they have set up a wide diversion route which is well marked. From the carpark head left for a short bit then up. The diversion is extremely boggy, even if it might have dried out slightly it will still...

Re: Beginner from Grangemouth looking for buddy

Howdy, I'm not too far away from you in Bo'ness at all.... generally try to get out at least once a month apart from winter when I pick and choose dates a bit more carefully. I also organise trips with an Edinburgh based group so you are more than welcome to tag along when we have a space. Next trip...

Re: A windy day in Glen Isla, and throw in a Corbett as well

Nice, but do please believe me when I say that they are lovely winter hills too (avalanches notwithstanding)! :D I believe you Graeme, think the most dangerous part for avalanche risk in winter would be the stretch in between Leacach and Glas Maol as it's pretty rocky as well noted in the WH guide....

A windy day in Glen Isla, and throw in a Corbett as well

Originally planned this walk for April. but a few tonnes of snow caused a postponement, and now having done the route, I reckon we made the right call as there are plenty of places where avalanches could occur. Decided to do this walk in the reverse direction that WH recommends, so instead of a 200m...
