Lochnagar. JPMorgan club weekend trip

Weekend away with JPMorgan club. Ken, Bartosz, Svet, Niall Campbell, Alan and Liz (wife). Stayed at Rucksacks in Braemar. Very comfortable and well equipped but could do with a second toilet. Weather was good. Visibility fantastic. Patchy snow. Very busy on Lochnagar where someone else had a bottle ...

Beinn Ghlas whiteout

With JPM club. Ken, Alan, Batosz and Svet. Intention had been to do An Stuc alone from a different starting point but Ken decided plan B from the NTS car park was best even if it meant not being able to do An Stuc. Lots of snow! Lovely. Cold though. I had 5 layers on incl jacket. Cloud was low and w...

Ben Vorlich white-out

JPM club. Just Ken Milne, Alan McKechnie and myself. Weather was fairly mild and certainly not as cold as my copious amount of clothing made it look like! Complete snow cover further up. Although not absolutely necessary, we used our crampons to make it slightly easier to walk on some of the icier s...

Sgiath Chuil

With JPMorgan club. Set out to do this one with Meall Glas but decided to skip it because it was pretty miserable when we reached the summit of Sgiath Chuil. Grass was long and wet and slippy. Weather was meant to clean up but not up top!

JP Morgan outing to An Caisteal

No Alan today. 7 of us made the trip as an alternative to Ben Starav due to poor forecast. However, the weather was fine. We were below the cloud but could see Ben More was in them. It was cool on top so hat, gloves and jackets were required.

Beinn Eunaich

With JPMorgan club.

Was due to be wet in the afternoon but it was wet all day. Got soaked. Only did one Munro but option was to do second but it was too wet, cold and zero visibility to make it worthwhile.

Fisherfield Forest

Had two attempts at this. First was in May 1993 but we ran into severe weather which caused the river to rise too high to be crossed across from Shenavall so we had to go upstream a few miles before we could cross but, even then, it proved to be quite hazardous. We managed to do Sgurr Ban and Beinn ...
