Re: FORUM MAINTENANCE COMPLETE - 19th SEPTEMBER

Sorry about this. It looks like it did post here - viewtopic.php?f=9&t=120969

Are you still seeing it in drafts as well? One copy or lots? It may just be that I need to delete the ones in your drafts now it has worked, if left over from when there was a problem.

Many thanks for your help.

Re: FORUM MAINTENANCE COMPLETE - 19th SEPTEMBER

Really sorry to hear this Mark - I think I've found your error in the logs. If so, it was to do with your post being alot longer than what I had done in testing - doh! - if that was the problem then it'll now be fixed so you could try reposting. Your images will still be uploaded and I might be able...

Re: How to stop downloaded route for a break

The Walkhighlands app shows your current position on the map - it doesn't record or store your position data in any way. So there is nothing to pause - the app is only doing something when you actually have it open on your screen, which means it uses much less battery. If you wanting to create data ...

Re: App GPS bug?

It sounds like you have given the permission for the app to use network location but not gps location.

Go to settings -> location -> chrome and ensure that “use precise location” is turned on.

Re: Grahams and Fionas!

The ones that are less than 2000 feet high (and so have always been on Walkhighlands as Sub 2000s). We had to change the name of the traditional 2000-2500 hill list to Fionas due to a trademark on the name Grahams. Grahams was the traditional term for hills 2000' - 2500', but can now only be used wh...

Re: Second and more rounds

You can indicate that you have completed past rounds. To do so, go into Account Settings (from the My Account menu at the to), then click the profile tab. There are fields to enter number of completed Munro rounds etc. - which then show on your WH profile.

Re: Problem with Walkinghighlands on IPhone 12

Hi there. It's not because of how you installed it. The message means at some point you have clicked to deny allowing Walkhighlands to show your location. The instructions for fixing it are in the app's help (the ? icon). There are 2 places you may need to change settings on an iphone: -Go to device...

We've blocked several bots and I think everything should be loading a bit faster now - but we've some new ways to investigate the causes of any more slowdowns.

Re: Stalking

I do wonder if an independent website on walking in the Highlands could team up with a funder and host this information? We do already carry the current NatureScot stalking messages for relevant estate on the relevant hill routes on Walkhighlands. These days the service covers more hills, but provi...
