Why don`t you try one of these https://www.outdoorgear.co.uk/Vango-Banshee-200-Footprint-sku51504601.asp instead of re-proofing ? something tells me that proofing the groundsheet wont be easy as it`s such a large weave.

In my experience you`ll know your dog better than anyone Kai Tai as I do mine and if he/she is prone to chasing sheep/deer then I would keep it on a lead till you up a wee bit out of the way of most of the deer, but as I say you`ll know whether that's necessary or not. I`m sure the access code says ...
