Thanks for the heads-up about the dogs and stiles, have this one on my to-do list and always have at least one dog with me :D

Re: Viewing walks for an area in 'map view'

I've just tried it and it scrolls fine for me, try doing a hard refresh (ctrl F5 on the keypad) and see if that helps fix it :)

Re: Dog harness

It does depend very much on what fits you dog and if you have somewhere near you that does sport dog harnesses I would recommend going for a fitting to see what suits you dog best. I like the Non-Stop line harnesses for two of mine lots of room around the shoulders to allow for free movement, doesn...

Re: Weird Raven behaviour - bowling?!

Ravens and other members of the crow family are known to engage in play type behaviour so it could well be some kind of game they are playing.

Re: Good Walk. Mind Where you Park.

The parking for this is at the side of the track before the gate rather than an obvious car park :)

Re: Islay - The White Knuckle Ride

Lovely report, had a similar situation with the Waverley and Iona - twice failing to be able to land! Another person on the boat had done the trip a number of times and never made it to the island, I think they've stopped doing that trip now  Third time we went the longer way taking the car acr...

Re: Icy wander round the Hermitage, Dunkeld

Graeme D wrote:A fairly regular dog walking spot for me. Good to see wintery pics of it. Luna loves swimming in the big pool just below the falls, as did Lucy.

Don't think she would have liked swimming in it as much when we were there

Icy wander round the Hermitage, Dunkeld

our_route.gpx The plan was to do the Inver walk, but when we arrived it was still very slippery and icy so decided to just do a shorter circuit around the Hermitage and Pine Cone Point. I was thankful I had my Yaktrax in the car especially with two dogs attached to me! They gave great grip so no sl...

Re: Hiking in Aberdeenshire - Northeast Scotland

Daylight is short in January bit you can still get a decent walk in. There will probably be snow on the mountains given the way conditions are at the moment, but there are some nice lower-level walks to do such as around Loch Muick, with the option of continuing along to Dubh Loch to make it a bit l...

Re: Stags

And back to animals being dangerous.... Back in August, I was in the Lakes, and we went on a hike up a small grassy lump near Threlkeld where there was allegedly a herd of free range Highland ponies. There were no horses, nor even signs of recent equid activity. Bummer. It's lovely to see Highlands...

Re: New Grahams!!!

It's got three corners. I'm sure you could figure something out :) This is possibly the weirdest route I've ever drawn up... ladylea3.gpx I have this one on my radar, I will watch out for your report it might help find a good route to do with the dogs because some routes seem to involve having to c...
