carn mairg circuit

me and ted, last munros on a hard weekend away. decided to do four munros then drive home :shock: looked a long horse-shoe but not to hard. easy walk to first munro 2h, great ridge walk over the next three with great views all the way. quite a long walk back to start, getting tired after eight munro...

beinn dorain

me and ted, looked a hard walk when arriving, long very boggy treck through woods then a very long steep slog up grass bank, endless treck to first munro, cloudy at top. went wrong way coming down, had to treck accoss valley to bottom of next munro, easy up and down then back to the woods. good long...

bridge of orchy

me and ted, drove up sunday morning, stoped at hostel at tyndrum. cloudy to start, cleared when on top.
good and fast walk up, great ridge walk to beinn dorain with road below. easy walk to next munro with great view onto rannoch moor. good start to weekend. :D

me and ted, decent day, fairly long treck up to first munro, long ridge walk to second munro, steep scree shoot to loch below and a little diversion to see the remains of the lancaster bomber.
really long walk out and road walk to van of doom. :clap:

me and ted, started with a 5km drive up forrest track, parked at gates and walked 2km to foot of munros.
great walk in and walk up first munro, down and up second munro turned into a nightmare, fighting way through 70km an hour winds. quite scary :shock:

did this with torpedo ted and joe. total blue sky, boiling hot. started walk from wrong car park, should of been on the two munros next to these. dduuuurrrrr. :shock: quick accent, great ridge walk to munro overlooking rannoch moor. unbelievable view from here :D steep accent from here down death va...

day started fantastic, great weather feeling good. climbed with torpedo ted ( paul ) and joe. climbed quite quick to first munro, had lunch with fantastic views 70 degrees plus. climbed to next munro in under 30 mins. even better views from here. started decent down in between the two munros, ok til...

cloudy day with paul & andy. long walk in & slow start to climb, p & a struggling for first hour of climb, ok after about half way. quite hard going and steep, very steep above two lochs on final section. could not see much at top, plenty of snow no views. hard slog going back but worth ...

fionn bheinn

Started at train station with paul & andy at 5 in the afternoon. looked ok but ended up being the boggiest, wettest most boring walk ever done. snow storm at top, no views, slippy coming down, paul turned into a human torpedo near the bottom, made me laugh for days. glad that one's done :lol:

loch lochy

Decent day for february, long walk to start with dog. steep climb through woods easy walk after, probably the easiest munros i'll do. nice treck through snow field up second munro, ran back most of the way back to the car, hense very quick time. :D

Hi,

going to do Gulvain on Thursday 29 December, starting at 9 am at strontian junction on the A830.

Taking bike, sounds like a long slog in :?

Expecting the usual rain, not sure on snow on top, taking crampons just in case.

Glenfinnan munros

Another walk on my own, not a good forcast, started of in downpoor, then gales, hailstone, then snowstorm at summit. very slippy on way down. Hardest walk yet. Another great day :D
