Re: West Highland Way - General Questions

I did the WHW in late April last year and the bothy was busy with people using it as a drinking den according to some people I met so I would avoid if you want a decent nights sleep. Visit the Drovers for a look but in my opinion it is overpriced for food and drink. Best meal I had (and cheapest by ...

Tents and Mice

I was wild camping at Ben Alder over the weekend and in the morning I noticed that my food bag had a hole in it and also two holes in the inner fabric of the tent. First thought was that my rucksack had been rubbing against the tent and bag during the night, now I'm not so sure?? Could it have been ...

Re: Morar glens & bothies trip

Really enjoyable report, the photos are outstanding, I was imagining myself lying there in the sun :D The old rights of way and wandering the glens is something I enjoyed last year more than climbing hills, hope some day I can do this route, it looks fantastic. Thanks for posting!

Re: Adventures in Assynt - A Dooterbang Weekend Spectacular!

Great report and photos, Assynt is a very special place, those views and beaches :D Weather at the weekend was very warm for this time of year, except at night in a tent, me being one of those teeny-boppers (I wish  ) at the Loopallu Festival.!

Re: Cycling The Outer Hebrides

Hi Morna If your leaving from Tiree remember the music festival is on 15-17 July so it will be busy on the ferries. I cycled from Barra to Berneray last year, on a hybrid bike, first time out on it in yonks! The roads are in very good condition and I found there is very little traffic, which being a...

Re: Can anyone recommend an easy Munro not too far from Glas

Hi Sheryl re the bus driver "maybe" letting you off at BEB carpark bear in mind that the bus might not stop for you on the way back? There is a Citylink stop at the White Corries (Ski centre) and you could climb Meall a Bhuiridh. I would say Beinn Ime is a good shout as fairly easy (great ...
