Re: Six North Western Fells

Great report Derek, the frozen cairn makes me feel cold, nice round. Have done a round from Darling How and remember Lords Seat as the midges had us  also remember the very, very steep descent from Graystones back to the car  IMG_3702.jpg IMG_3753.jpg Hope you don't mind the pics, it was...

Re: Bakestall

We've all done it Derek, was parking ok? I have spotted on another web site and I think its a good idea to show a photo of parking for others to see the area when they arrive, sometimes thats the hardest part of the day, setting up base camp :D

Re: Bakestall Parking

Hi Derek, Peter House Farm seems to be the nearest place and from where we plan to climb it. For Carrock Fell park at Apronful of Stones and climb the steep side, my husband thought the views that way were spectacular, especially to Blencathra and over Mosedale :D

Re: Latrigg

Well done Derek, we once did Latrigg, Binsey and Gowbarrow Fell in one day. We did the round you were on about in your Barrow thread, Causey Pike, Scar, Sail, Outerside and Barrow with parking at Uzzicar, a good walk :D

Re: Lucky Man

Lady in todays Sun slipped on ice and fell 100ft from the Pyg Track, cuts and bruises, perhaps we have more natural padding to cushion the fall nowadays
