St Dogmaels

Rainy travelling day. Time only for brief strolls, but including a new mile or so at the end of the Pembs Coast Path before looking at the substantial ruined abbey and some beaches.

Aberporth

A day of short Welsh coast walking, between the rain; first a small Pembs CP gap filled in Goodwick. DSCF0024.JPG Slightly more substantial there-and-back on the coast from Aberporth past Tresaith. aberporth.gpx DSCF0027.JPG DSCF0029.JPG DSCF0035.JPG DSCF0041.JPG DSCF0047.JPG DSCF0053.JPG DSCF0077.J...

Aberedw Hill

More complete walk at the end of a wet weekend in mid-Wales. A significant hill with a very pleasant grassy plateau (lots of paths), extremely muddy in the farm-tracks below and still a few showers. aberedw (1).gpx DSCF0282.JPG DSCF0293.JPG DSCF0299.JPG DSCF0305.JPG DSCF0311.JPG DSCF0365.JPG DSCF037...

Teignmouth to Starcross, Oddicombe

Again sticking to a well-paved section of the SWCP; not the most exciting but a pleasant morning. Camera failure.

Torquay

Return to the firm ground of an urban section of the SW Coast Path. Pleasingly vegetated after turning east.

Daugleddau

Investigating the inland part of the Pembs Coast NP, around tidal estuaries. Here at least: not up the coast itself. Very good in Lawrenny Woods; an interesting terraced path clinging to slopes of oak, but otherwise damp farmland and lanes, quite uneventful. daugleddau.gpx DSCF0149.JPG DSCF0152.JPG ...

Stack Rocks & St Govan's Head, Pwllcrochan

Another fine Pembrokeshire Coast day. Long morning walk revisiting the rock highlights of the Castlemartin range coastline, preceded rather a fairly uneventful and damp inland trudge (but including a mile or two of unwalked Coast Path). bosherston.gpx DSCF0064.JPG DSCF0068.JPG DSCF0075.JPG DSCF0077....

Gyrn Ddu & Bwlch Mawr, Traeth Penllech

A really mountainous feel in this walk for something topping out at 522m - plenty of ascent, sportingly steep paths up and down, and a scramble onto/off a very bouldery main peak. Atmospheric clouds and a bit of unforecast shower. gyrn_ddu.gpx DSCN0318.JPG DSCN0319.JPG DSCN0320.JPG DSCN0322.JPG DSCN...
