Re: Playing it safe on Meall Ghaordaidh

Nice report Fi. I climbed this one a couple of months back and took the same "path" as you up the fence line by the looks of it. It was my second attempt as I had to turn back in deep snow the first time!

Cheers BC. I will get a few solo camps under my belt first before I go with anyone else. Prob down the municipal gardens so I can't do myself any real harm! after that I would def be up for a wee trip somewhere

Re: A Rocker in Arrochar

That's a great report BC. So well written and giving such a nice feel for that area. It took me 4 trips over 4 days to climb all these beautiful hills, and no I didn't go through the needle on Ben Arthur! I am going wild camping this summer for the first time. I hope I have a trip like yours :)

Re: Beinn Dorain and Beinn an Dothaidh

Thanks for the post all.

Smiffy - truth be told I am also from Dunoon. Haven't been back for over 10 years though as my family moved away. I left for the big smoke (Glasgow) in 1987 and never really looked back. Found memories of a childhood in a great wee town though :)
