Re: Easiest Munro on Skye?

Hi

I did Sgurr na Banachdich as my compleation munro. Even some of the less experienced walkers managed no bother at all.

I also hired the Glen Brittle hut for the shindig afterwards- excellent accommodation.
Good Luck!

Hi Kathleen,
I'd be happy to go in again, I'm certainly daft enough. Xxx

A Room With A View

Big thanks to Gammy and Debs for inviting me along on their mission to finally conquer their remaining hills in Fisherfield. Dinner at the Whistlestop Café was smashing and fuelled us well for our 3 hour walk into FF. We had the beach to ourselves at Lochan Fada and thanks to earplugs and an eyemask...

Down But Still Out

Another epic failure! Reached the 705m mark on SNF and about 1.5km from the summit. Horizontal hailstones meant a late retreat from what was a smashing hill. Definitely worth another visit even just to cross that wobbly bridge again!!! Hill buzz was replaced with the terror of driving the Bealach na...

Re: A Ptarmigan Ascent with an Old Timer :)

Tremendous photos DB, MT take a few of them???? Or did she just steal them as usual?

You should have seen her on the Montrose St hill sprints last night. Ahead of me the whole way and still managed to tell a great story or three!

Re: Hills In Lanzarote

If you are staying in Playa Blanca then get the ferry aross to Corralejo on Fuerteventura and then a bus out to Tindaya which is a half decent hill.Don`t know if you still need a permit as it has sacred carvings on the top .I never bothered ,Montana Rojo (?) at the southern end of the Corralejo dun...

Absolutely wonderful report

I did this hill in frozen, unpleasant conditions so I am extremely jealous of your icecapades and amazing photos :D :D :D

Thanks for that Broggy. I would like to do both the volcano climb and the 10K running route. We're staying in Puerto Del Carmen. I'm away to see how far apart the two towns are. :D
