I'd suggest two different trips, Ladhar Bheinn from Barrisdale (either boat from Arnisdale or walk-in from Kinloch Hourn), with an overnight in (or camping by) the Barrisdale bothy and the other two from Inverie, with an overnight camping on Long Beach (or in the hostel) - that way you don't have t...

Re: A Close Shave on Buchaille Etive Mor!

I've been there and got the t shirt

I would say I am reasonably experienced on the hills , but in the heat of the moment it's all too easy to make a wrong turn and end up off track

Every day is a school day as they say

Cooper probably had a great time though lol

Re: Knoydart 3 , is there an easy way ?

If you walk in from Kinlochhourn and camp at mam barrisdale, around 600m you can leave your tent/stuff there while you climb the hills. Not exactly easy, but efficient. That's a good shout actually . Combine the walk in with gaining a bit of height and Mam Barrisdale is more or less central for the...

Re: Knoydart 3 , is there an easy way ?

I've done the walk in to Barisdale. Very scenic on the walk in. A bit of a slog on the walk back out though, I found. Has put me off returning, but if you have the time and don't need to rush then it might not be the slog I found it to be. Have done the boat to Inverie and made it a bit more of an ...

Re: Knoydart 3 , is there an easy way ?

The boat is the easiest, but the long walk in is the most scenic. Doing Ladhar Bheinn from Inverie is a bit of slog up steep grassy slope and you miss the grandeur of the mountain. The walk in sounds like a fantastic trip in itself I'm thinking this may be my preferred choice. Appreciate your reply...
