By accessing Walkhighlands you agree to be legally bound by the following terms. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the following terms then please do not access the site.

Walking can be a dangerous activity and all walks are undertaken entirely at your own risk. Walkhighlands accepts no responsibility or liability, nor gives any warranty, as to the accuracy of any of the information on the site. It is your own responsibility to check information with other sources. All walkers should carry a detailed map and compass and know how to use them. It is each walkers responsibility to ensure that the walk and the weather conditions are within their capabilities. You must agree to the MCofS Participation Statement:

Climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.

Routes are provided for general information only, any advice or information given should not be relied upon as being correct or accurate. It is your obligation to verify independently from primary sources all information, and to take specific professional advice. You must not rely on Walkhighlands to do this for you. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability in contract, tort (including negligence) breach of statutory duty or otherwise for any costs, losses, claims, damages, expenses or proceedings (including special, incidental or consequential loss or damage, loss of profits or wasted time) incurred or suffered by you arising directly or indirectly in connection with this website and its content including any loss, damage or expense arising from, but not limited to, any defect, error, imperfection, fault, mistake or inaccuracy with our website, route files, or other content or associated services or due to any unavailability of part or all of the website or any content or associated services.

The walks cross private land and it is the walkers responsibility to ensure no damage is caused to private property or interference caused with crofting, farming, stalking or forestry activities.

You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening or any other material that may violate any laws. Doing so may lead to you being permanently banned, with notification of your Internet Service Provider if deemed required by us. The IP address of all posts are recorded to enable the enforcement these conditions. You agree that Walkhighlands have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic or ban any user at any time should we see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered to being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, Walkhighlands shall not be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. Please ensure you read our privacy policy.

You are entirely responsible for the content of, and any harm resulting from, content that you add to Walkhighlands. By posting content, you represent and warrant that:
- you will not make any posts that promote your own business, website or blog;
- the downloading, copying and use of the Content you post will not infringe the proprietary rights, including but not limited to the copyright, patent, trademark or trade secret rights, of any third party;
- the content is not pornographic, does not contain threats or incite violence towards individuals or entities, and does not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party.

You retain copyright of all material you post, but in adding material to Walkhighlands, you grant Walkhighlands a world-wide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to reproduce, modify and publish your post - including attached photos - on the website, solely for the purpose of displaying your post.
