There is a website called Winderful which shows in graphical form the real time output of the majority of UK windfarms, which are spread across the UK's land and sea. If the wind were to be blowing perfectly at all windfarms this output would be 17,983 MW (megawatts).
However the output today at 7am was a ridiculously low 370 MW, when solar output would be virtually zero.
The highest output this year was 12,667 MW, nowhere near 17,983.
On June 15 wind output at one point was less than 100 MW which could be laughable, but it's no joke.
For those who think that batteries are the solution, the world's biggest battery (reportedly) at Hornsdale, which cost over £50 million, would give the UK it's energy for 2.6 seconds, IF it were fully charged at the time it were needed.
