What hills are these?

Hi all!

The lockdown boredom is driving me mental. I live just beside Jordanhill train station, on a top floor flat. When I look North, Dumgoyne is pretty much straight ahead of me.


What hills are these? I want to say it's not Ben Lomond as that's further West. I'm thinking maybe Ben More? But not sure! Would love this puzzle to be solved!

Which is great until the hill you're looking at is about 3 OS maps away!.

This drives me nuts when I'm trying to work out 3 months later what hills I've taken pictures of!! The Walkhighlands GPS tab (far right) is incredibly useful for this as you can zoom in and out

I'll second that. I only just got peakfinder during the first lockdown, and it's been brilliant for identifying all the distant peaks (and close by ones too), along my walks. It's also great for showing you what the view could have looked like, if you hadn't come along on a hill top in the clouds sort of weather day.

I use the OS Travelmaster maps (1:250,000) for long-distance peak identification. They don't show all the Munros, but from the main ones that they do name on the map it is possible to work out the location of others. Sheet 2 covers Northern Scotland and sheet 4 Central Scotland. (I bought mine a good number of years ago, so I haven't checked to see of they are still available,but I would expect them to be.)
