Monessie Gorge bridge closed

The suspension bridge over the Monessie Gorge has been closed until further notice.

Last time I crossed it 2 years ago it was a bit precarious with holes in the deck and the whole structure didn't look great

It will be an issue moreso for the local farmer but also for walkers, though sometimes it is possible to cross the river slightly upstream, but only when the water levels are low.

That's a great shame, I have stayed at the nearby Àite Cruinnichidh hostel several times and the bridge is very handy. Hope the estate are able to sort something out this year.
