Before I continue I'd like to add that I've not accidentally posted on the wrong forum
Just before Christmas I banged my left thigh against a table corner. Just another knock or so I thought but over the next couple of days my left knee began to swell and movement quickly degenerated. The knee was painful, stiff and problematic for over three months and walking was impossible so it was imperative that I got a MRI scan.
For the last three weeks the knee has been perfect, as if I'd never had a problem in the first place, but the MRI scan has shown that I have a degenerative complex tear of the medial meniscus.
The consultant has advised that I don't have keyhole surgery whilst the knee feels fine and that it's a case of 'see how it goes'.
Have any forum members suffered the same injury? If so, what was the outcome? Am I delaying the inevitable? Shall I just resume normal walking activities and hope for the best?
