Best Route Off Toll Creagach

Best Route Off Toll Creagach

Postby malrc » Tue May 18, 2021 3:34 pm

Hi All,

I'm aiming to do the Mullardoch 12 over 3 days this weekend.

Just looking for advice on the best way off Toll Creagach back to the dam.

I've read that the ridge NNE from Doire Tana is viable, but most seem to descend midway between that ridge and Toll Creagach.

Any tips on minimising the heather/bog/deer fence maze misery would be much appreciated.

I went to the bealach between Toll Creagach and Doire Tana and just followed the Allt Fraoch-Choire down the glen, and follow river into forest, faint track.Maybe because it was a long day but I felt walking through heather, grass, wet boggy ground a bit tiresome. Did not have any fence too cope with back in 2013.
