I have my pack weight pretty low, but ultimately, with camping gear and food for a few days, you can't reasonably move anywhere near as fast as you might with a day pack (where I can jog/run on some flats and downhills)
I'm not adverse to relocating the camp of a morning or evening and will certainly continue with full pack multi day efforts also. Just curious regarding any niche areas where efficiency can be improved with day hiking out of a camp (fixed or otherwise).
