Skye trail August 2021

My best friend and i (2 guys from France, Paris, early 30's) are going to do the skye trail starting the 8th of august during one week. We wanted to post this short message to welcome anyone who's interested to join us

But ... are we allowed to travel to Scotland ??

We can travel th the Netherlands but it is a pain as it is on the Amber list. Means a test before flying, 5 days isolation with a test on day 5, test before flying home and then 10 days isolation with tests on day 2 and 8. For me it adds up to about £550 for tests, hotel stay for isolation in the Netherlands. Makes it very difficult. If I go for work it means 15 days lost-not worth it unless we have a decent amount of work.
No idea what the Dutch government rules are for you guys but you would need to sell isolate for 10 days and pay for the test before flight here and £170 for the 2 tests in self isolation.

Hi folks!! Are you still starting the Skye trail on August 8. I was planning on doing it alone but would love some company.

Are you going from North to south or vice versa? And where are you staying the night before? I will arrive in portree at around 8 pm tonight.
