We parked at the petrol station in Dalwhinnie, big car park £3 per day or £10 if you stay in your campervan/motorhome overnight, there is a track beside the petrol station that takes you round and onto the road to Ben Alder, saves all the hassle of trying to find a space at the walkers car park and crossing the railway and doesn't add much to the journey.
The car park has cctv so your car will be safe too
