Gradient of roads

Hi,

Had a quick look online to see if there was a easy way to work it out but cant see anything.

Looking at doing the Fannichs [9], problem will be the 10 mile cycle back to car.

Want to know what the easiest cycle will be, East to West or West to East. :D

Short answer - it doesn't make a lot of difference.
There was a recent thread on this (complete with elevation profile!) at https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=103196
You can use https://www.plotaroute.com/routeplanner for this: set Auto Plot to Roads, plot your route, then click on Hills to get an elevation profile.

This is the way i done them, you could make use of the train if you time it right.

Thanks everyone, think direction has been decided. Overall walking distance and ascent looks like its same as Fisherfields with added walk out so hopeful my legs stand up to it.

will need to start in the dark so my cycle back to car is still in daylight.
