Sgòr Gaoith, from Glen Feshie

Sgòr Gaoith, from Glen Feshie

Postby neilist » Fri Sep 17, 2021 4:42 pm

Hi, I am going to be based in Kingussie for a week in October, was hoping to climb Sgor Gaoith from Glen Feshie but think the car park for this route may be shut then, does anyone know if it will be or if there is any other access to the start of the route from Glen Feshie, never been down that way, hence the questions, Thanks Neil.

As the sign at the entrance to the Allt Ruadh reads...closed for Forestry operations until the Spring. Access to the hill path is still OK. I came down this way and out a couple of weeks ago.
Just park up elsewhere nearby and there doesn't seem to be any problem.

I had a thread on this a couple of weeks ago. As well as the answer above, you can approach from Auchlean further up the glen.
This also gives you an option to bag both Munros, if you wish.

As mentioned above, there were plenty cars parked around the forestry works and plenty people still using your preferred route

Came past the all Ruadh parking yesterday afternoon...there were half a dozen vehicles parked in the space...no barrier thing at the entrance. Just one notice regarding parking space further up the road.
Seems to be no Forestry stuff going on at the moment.
