Walk Statistics question

Walk Statistics question

Postby Ringlore » Sun Oct 03, 2021 9:36 pm

Hi,

Sorry I'm new here, and wanting to start doing some of the walks listed, but I have a silly question, Under walk statistics, the time given for the trip, is that one way or full each way trip.

Thanks and apogees for a silly question..

Just to clarify a bit more: most of the walks on the site do start and finish in the same place, and for these the time is for the full trip back to the start (even if it is and out-and-back walk rather than a circular one).

However, there are some linear walks, particularly (but not exclusively) sections of long distance walks, and in these cases the time is for one way, start to end. You may need to read the walk description to be absolutely sure.

Not a silly question at all, as the old SMC Munro book gives the time to the final summit of the day, after which you add on time.
