I'd like to second what walkerali says. I live locally, and don't even check for tidal times any more - when I get to the bit that may be flooded at high tide, and it turns out to be under water, I just climb that steep slope, cross some fences and bypass that bit of the coastal path. It's all part of the adventure!
If you're planning to walk a longer stretch of the coastal path as part of a long-distance venture, you might just like to keep an eye on the tidal movements.
