I don't know about the west but the Caithness half of the north coast got a battering last week, at least one local business closed early on Fri. Still a lot of snow about this morning.

It is all melting, sadly... :( :( :(

Ben Wyvis still had some cover over 800m yesterday but temperatures are so high that it's disappearing very fast. +11*C in Beauly yesterday, +9 today. No white Christmas, I'm afraid...

Great covering on the Cairngorms. I'm in the Cairn in Aviemore just now and the hills are turning from white to pink.
