If your coming south from barisdale and Glen/Mam Unndalaine try and cross where the glen opens up, grid NM 884 973 ish, it's a 4x4 Ford and the carnoch is wide and shallow there in the right conditions,
Theres a LR/4x4 track on the south bank. Follow that track and when it turns (a mile or so downstream) to ford the river again back to the north bank, leave it and bare left to contour the base of the hills, theres actually a faint path (its basically hard against the hill base and impossible to see if your not on it) all the way to the Eilean Tioram point & sourlies bothy. Your well away from the river and dont need to cross that nasty boggy bit that you used to when you crossed to sourlies from the old bridge at carnoch
