The path to the northern approach is rougher and boggier too but will allow you to change things up a bit and link Beinn Liath Mhor to Sgorr nan Lochain Uaine.
If you are a very strong walker, you might be able to tag on Maol Chean-dearg although it is a big detour and looks like a very scrambly ascent from the NE.
