Does anybody know if there is a walkable footpath through the Bealach a Chasain and then linking up to the path down into Kinlochourn. Walking through there next week and loking to see if theres an alternative to walking over the Bealach dubh leac from glen shiel

I'm pretty sure there's no marked path as such, but I'm sure you could go that way if you didn't mind a bit of tussock hopping. There does appear to be a forestry track up one side of the glen, but that would lead you to a dead end and the inevitable crashing through trees to get back into the valley.

If you want a nicely graded stalker's path I'd suggest you stick to the long way round.
