Name the hills on the pics (Torridon/Gairloch area?)

Name the hills on the pics (Torridon/Gairloch area?)

Postby HighlandSC » Fri Sep 04, 2009 9:19 pm

I was digging through some old pics of a trip to Gairloch from Applecross (well before my hillwalking days!) and came across these. Not sure exactly where the pics were taken (it was in 2005), but I'm keen to know the name of the hills/range in the pics. I've had a quick look at the hill maps on here but can't work it out. They must be obvious to someone? Cheers

No-one's had a go, so I will!

Top one - Beinn Shieldaig I think

2nd one - similar viewpoint but looking NE I think over Shieldaig village. The clouds make it difficult, but I think it could be Beinn Alligin and Liathach obscured by mist :D

I think I'd concur.... and say that thankfully the mist wasn't hanging over Alligin and Liathach like that when I visited recently!
