so what do folks think about this?
seems to me that tidal power might be the answer - always there, can be discreet. altho I'm not an expert I'm interested to see how this might work.

Joint MCofS and JMT news release:

Also, seperate news release from MCofS calling for support from international tourism:

Drumochter Pass track emphasises impact on Scots hills

And I hear that the remote Coireyairick Pass is a right mess at the moment.

It's not just the wind farms, it's everything else that goes with them. Sadly, Salmond is quite happy to sacrifice the one thing that makes Scotland special, just to make a point.

Yep, they should fill in that damn A9 and railway - they are hideous! Send everyone north via Aberdeen instead.

I signed in this morning to see the latest on this thread and under the last entry is an advert containing a wind turbine (moving) for the 2012 Share Issue of Triodos Renewables. This is even more sad that the big industries that are spoiling our country are being alllowed to advertise here.

I have written to the First Minister. The e-mail address Alex-Salmond-msp is rejected unless you are in his constiuency. You have to write to Government Ministers.

Proposed windfarm 2.5kms from my house rejected by Council against Officers recommendations.
At least for the time being, but probably the fight is not over yet!
