I cannot seem to print the OS maps? I am logged in and found a map I want to print but on right clicking and selecting print, nothing happens? What am I doing wrong? Anne

Are you talking about the GPS planner or an official OS source i.e OS Getamap?

Unless there is something really simple, it's probably going to be difficult for us to sort this through the forum.

best suggestion is to find someone who regularly prints maps off and (assuming you are a windows user) get them to do a remote log on to your PC over the interweb. It's what i use to sort my parents' PC out now and again and works pretty well. You'll have to trust that person with access to your PC though.

Sorry i can't help more

I Print the maps off the of walkhighlands gps planner the time (but saying that I use Chrome not Explorer)
I just got to the map I want and hit ctrl+p then I get a preview of what the map is going to look like then I change the print settings like the margins to get more map on the page and I normally have it printed landscape as well.

hope it helps

I find it best to screenshot the views i want, then print out the screenshots.
cmd shift 4 on a mac, no idea on a PC.
Helps if you have a big monitor.

just saw all these posts - someone suggested the screen shot solution and I did that. Its not an explorer problem as i don't use that browser, I use Chrome. It is the maps on this site which it says you can print but it just prints out the heading and no map? And yes i do have my printer connected! Thanks for the suggestions anyway folks. Didn't need a map in reality - we were walking the last stage of the Cateran Trail - Alyth - Blairgowrie and it was a glorious day!

Okay, just tested it so I know this works (in Chrome anyway.)

Get the map up as you want it to print (including route if need be) and press F11 to make Chrome go full screen. Then press Alt-Prt Scrn (top right of keyboard, above the Insert key).

Past to Paint or Word or whatever you choose to use for printing. If using Paint (and you want it to look pretty) go to Menu->Print->Page Setup and under Centering tick both boxes to make the image sit smack bang in the middle of the page.

Make sense?
