All New "Where's the Pic?" for 2010

Was wondering for ages, but I think you've just narrowed it down. Glas Bheinn from Meall nan Damh?

As for the others, good to see some new blood! Being unimaginitive, I'd agree with Magicdin on the first 3 (had already guessed the same for the first 2), don't know about the 4th.

Excellent - another pair of great hills that have gone straight back on the "to do again" list :?

Over to you Malky 8)

Once you get more than half way through the listed hills, you find your 'to do again' list is almost as long as your 'to do' list

My mind is going - hope I haven't posted this one before!

What glen is this?

Doesn't happen to have a popular long distance footpath skirting it, does it?

Paul - I thought the same, except there's no Hill of Foyers :?

Well done Paul!

Hmm, no hill named Foyers hill?

upon 'googling' Foyer's Hill the true/proper name comes up with Creag Nighean Iain Duinn

its in the OS Landranger 26 map, but when we did it (around spring 2007) when i was just getting back into climbing again, it was very much spur of the moment using a little leaflet from the local post office! :D The leaflet referred to the hill as 'Foyers hill' and described it as a rarely used path with a great view of Loch Ness and even a high chance of spotting deer within the woods.

Mo's Cam 167.JPG
Seeing through the trees a little hard on the hill

We got lost as the path passes through overgrown woodland and vanishes! with no gear apart from our sarnies i used a patented climb a tree technique to see which way we had to go. (no real danger as the hill is tiny and could be circled in probably an hour or 2. )

Midge heaven = improvised head cover

Note the leaflet a poooor substitute for a map!

At the top a couple of jet fighters scared the life out of us by swooping past our ears while we ignorantly gorged on our sarnies...

View was worth the short hike

apologies for the poor pic quality, they are from a mates camcorder stills.

Makes sense now :)
Never heard of that referred to as Foyers Hill, but I've not really walked round there much. Probably what the locals call it. May go and investigate - looks like a nice afternoon out  .
