We are planning on heading up the Ben tomorrow via the CMD arete and I am looking for advice as to whether my dog would be ok?
She has done a few other ridges including the Tarmachan ridge, the Ring of Steall and the Forcan ridge but these all had walk reports where a dog was present, I can't seem to find one for the CMD, although i have not read every report.

I would think so: it's easier than either the Ring of Steall or the Forcan ridge.

Hi Gary,

As long as your dog has a few scrambles under her belt she should be fine.

Certainly not easier than the Ring of Steall (well not if you are a dog). There is far more boulder hopping to be done, but on the plus side, it's not that long once you're on the ridge.

Here's an idea of how much room your pooch has to play with...

Thanks guys, thats what I was hoping to hear.

Thanks for the pic electricfly, your dogs are gorgeous.

My dog has accompanied me on every Munro I have done except Nevis up the tourist path and would have hated to leave her again, plus I think she is better at scrambling than me to be honest!
