Paps of Jura

Paps of Jura

Postby JimboJim » Thu Aug 29, 2013 2:53 pm

Anyone able to give approximate time for a lap round the Paps of Jura, from main road, back to main road, e.g., from the Three Arches Bridge?

Thanks,

Jimmy

Took us 8 hours - trip report here: http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=33238
It's only about 5.5 hours by Naismith, but the going is very rough in places and the descents are not to be hurried!

Done the Paps last year. it took me 5 hours to do one Pap but I was carrying an Injury. The going is tough but scenery is stunning.. Apparently there is an annual event where locals run from Criaghouse over the Paps and back. The record is 3 hours, Mental..
