Your 100th Munro?

BlackPanther wrote:For me, it was Carn nan Gabhar, the remotest of Beinn a'Ghlo peaks, in May last year. We arranged it to coincide with my husband's half-way point (his 141st Munro), so we had a double celebration on a snow-covered summit :D

Kevin's 100th was Ben Klibreck, another cracking mountain.

I'm hoping to hit my 141 this year, but no plan has hatched so far. It will be whatever we fancy, also depending on weather.

A long day on a grand hill full of character and better still with the double celebration! :D That must have been a big day if there was a large dump of snow, a tiring walk out from there but well worth the effort. Fingers crossed it will be a good year for the hill walks so your 141 can be achieved, will keep an eye on your target total :)

Two celebrations in the one day, fabulous! That in itself is a good reason to have fond memories of your day together :)

Had plans to do this at the inaugural WH Meet in Glencoe organised by Stretch but the weather the weekend before was just too good! I had a choice of which of the two would be my hundredth... Dorain seemed more appropriate than Dothaidh for some reason, so I did it second that day.

Just read your report, lucky lucky! Looks a cracking climbing day, some fabulous photographs for your record of your ton :)

Another great hill there tony-c! glad you had a fabulous day. Pleased to see you picked a big day outing for your 100th as well, you will remember it for that bit longer :D Good luck in your quest for the 141 mark this year, you should make that no bother, two or three long days and your nearly there, Bring it on :D

Lurg Mhor.

It wasn't intentional but - in hindsight - I think it's a worthy one for a milestone like #100.

Hi there Kevin, no doubt you did a few others that day as well so that in itself would have added to your enjoyment that day! :) I'm still due you a pint for the one you didn't get from me at the Kintail Lodge Hotel during your round

Mine was the final Munro on the south Glen Shiel ridge but it wasn't planned for that reason in mind

Don't remember numbers of HILLS. I am much more self centred and remember the numbers of ME. Spent my 60th birthday on Beinn Starav and my 70th doing the Auch Five. Havn't decided where to go for my 80th. tho' I would love it to be Stac Lee, but afraid that by then I would need a helicopter.
