Also, Fort William for a similar reason: too many tourists....

Are we not all tourists when we all do a day trip to the hills.
Assynt and the islands are the ones for me,least fav none, depends on the time of year you visit certain areas or hills.

When exploring such a massive area on multiple trips from afar, I think you always feel a strong connection with the very first locations that you visit. My first Highland summit was Fuar Tholl, back in 2012. For me, that little corner of the NW Highlands will probably remain my "favourite" because it was my introduction to walking in the Highlands and so the gateway to every where else. It's the same when you live in a big city. You might move around a bit over the years but there's always a special place in your heart for your first stomping ground.

North of the Great Glen. Favourite bits are probably Ardgour, Morar, Arnisdale, Coulin, Torridon, Fisherfield, Inverpolly and the extreme north (so most of it then)! On the south of the Great Glen, only the high Cairngorms really make the cut ( not that I dislike the rest). Glencoe and Glen Nevis narrowly miss out by being a bit on the busy side, although the scenery is just as spectacular as my favourite areas.

I don't really have a least favourite bit, but I find driving down the A82 next to Loch Ness and Loch Linnhe a bit tedious. Both of those lochs have good sides as well though.

Great idea. My favourite Cairngorms, Kintail & Skye. Least favourite is the Pentlands and anywhere in site of areas vandalised by wind turbines.

My favs have to be Torridon and Skye. Assynt and Affric are also high on the list.

Least fav? Haven't got a clue. Every area is a different "kind of beauty". Rollin'rollin hills can be just as interesting as rocky ridges, especially in winter time :D

1. Ardnamurchan
2. Assynt
3. Perthshire

*Torridon yet to be explored, other than a bike ride from Lochcarron a long time ago.

Ullapool to Bettyhill is incredible, I've never been anywhere like it. An epic landscape.
