So after my Mount Keen trip and the tendonitis/hip problem and having a bored and sad-chickadee few weeks, the physio told me I could start easing back into walking by 3rd week (which was last week) and after 6 weeks I could start trying hills (once I've done a bit of low level). Caveat: they have to be wee hills. I'm not allowed to do a Munro or even a Corbett till I build up to it. Not sure how long this will take, but she said the best thing to do is go by time rather than distance, so I have to measure how long I can walk for before something hurts, ha.
For this reason I'm after some 'nice wee hills' I can do to get back into it. I am in Fife and know the local ones to do, but I am happy to go further afield. I realise winter is on its way and it might be something I need to hold off till spring, but I'd really love to do at least one before Christmas if I can. The thing is, as I have to watch how long I walk for, I think I should avoid hills with a long walk-in and anything too steep.
Any suggestions? Anywhere in Scotland is fine because it's all good to know for the future, but more in the region of what MWIS terms 'southeast Highlands' would be ideal so I can do it in a day. Please humour me as I'm excited to even think about getting back out on a hill! Even if my Munro tally will have to wait till next year.
