Hi Guys,

I'm planning a trip to Torridon in September for 5-6 days. Unfortunatelt though, there are more options than the time I have to complete them, so I was looking for help in choosing which hills to do in that time , i.e. which you think are a 'must ' (I know it's horses for courses but at least I could get a general viewpoint) and what order to do them in

I'm planning on camping for the duration and I'm taking the car

Well I guess the "musts" are the big 3: Eighe, Liathach and Alligin. However any attempt to plan exactly what you are going to do each day is almost certainly going to get blown out of the water by the weather, so it's not a problem to have more options than days and make the decisions when you get there.

Would pretty much agree totally with Meatball there.. The Corbett neighbour to Maol Chean-dearg is An Ruadh-stac (I assume :) ) and it looks stunning!

Thanks very much everyone for your input, much appreciated..

I think as you say jmarkb, a lot of it's going to be weather dependent and plans may have to change.

Thanks for the info meatball, I'm hopeful the legs will be good in September so will check out the map(s) and have a look at your plan.

Thanks again guys

Also, while I'd agree the 3 of Eighe/Alligin/Liathach are the go-to peaks, all the hills in the area are well up there, the Corbetts are stunning as well. I've done Meall a' Ghuibhais and Beinn Airigh Charr (two Corbetts) and both were mind-blowing. Beinn Damh and Beinn Bhan/Sgurr a' Chaorachain look stunning as well, the latter being probably quite a short day with the Bealach na Ba road?

Thanks Kevin, it sounds like I'm in for a treat no matter what hills I end up doing

And we have even mentioned Beinn Dearg, Beinn an Eoin and Baosbheinn - all top quality hills too. It's a wonderful area: hope you have a great trip and some decent weather!
