After 3 years in North West Calgary Sarah and I have moved a little further west toward the mountains and bought a lovely house on a ridge top overlooking the town of Cochrane.
I was a little sad to leave our old place as the views were fantastic and I could watch the Aurora from my balcony, but after just 3 days in the new place I was reassured when the river and mountain views were complemented by a nice level 4/5 aurora.
So, here's a few shots from the new balcony
The first shot overlooking the town, mountains out of sight on the left. Note the highway leading up the hill on the right of shot
The corner of my neighbors house and the rest of that highway running up the hill (this is the 1a that leads to NW Calgary
This one is the 1a heading into the eastern end of the small town
Wider still, showing more of the town and the long hill heading east
Had a bit of trouble trying to join this one owing to the amount of time between either end of the image (each frame was around 6 seconds)
Great start to the new place....all tied up in a bow
