Thinking of this at the weekend but trying to fine information on the route and any potential difficulties etc in winter. Has any one been up recently? how are the conditions?

It will be in full winter condition at the moment, with more fresh snow falling today. Getting your car up the road could still be problematic at the weekend.

The most difficult bit is a steep rocky section between Meall Garbh and the col to its west, but this can be avoided by a detour on the north side. There are a few other steep sections which will often require axe and crampons, but aren't technically hard. If the visibility is poor and there is no trail to follow, the navigation is quite tricky in a couple of places.

Thanks for that, if the weather does what it says on MWIS it could be a good option. Friend has just done winter skills course and i hope to go out with him on slightly more interesting terrain than a walk before going for graded routes.
