Path between the 8 Munros south of Loch Mullardoch

Path between the 8 Munros south of Loch Mullardoch

Postby algorhythm » Thu Jul 21, 2016 7:13 pm

Hi, I'm planning to walk from Toll Creagach Westward along the ridge of 8 Munros to Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan this weekend but the weather is looking like it's going to be fairly cloudy. So I know what to expect is there a distinct path that connects the mountains together or is there a good deal of navigation required?

Did them in the clag on two separate days in June this year. Good pathways on all ,however I cant speak for the section between Mam Sodhail and An Socach

I actually did An Socach from the col between Mam Sodhail and An Socach which was a decent path up so you might only struggle getting down from Mam Sodhail

Can't remember exactly between An Socach and Mam Sodhail but quote from my TR stated from the bealach NE of An Socach: "From the bealach I followed the track which rises gradually up the hillside and made the going somewhat easier. Higher up had to climb more steeply before finally getting up to the summit of Mam Sodhail." - cheers :)

There's a stalkers path which goes from the bealach east of An Socach up the hill towards Mam Sodhail but not all the way - so if you traverse downhill southeastish from the bealach south of Mam Sodhail you should meet up with it. Does that make sense?

Like most faint paths, that stalkers path is fine when you are on it but depending on where you meet i can imagine it would be easy to walk straight across it.
