Strathfarrar 4 access

Strathfarrar 4 access

Postby Weekend Walker » Mon Jun 12, 2017 7:57 pm

Hi,
Can anyone please provide up to date info on the procedure for access to these Munro's ?
I'm reading that access is via a locked gate but has this changed at all ? Do you have to be there for a certain time and does it get busy ?
I'm considering them for this Saturday .
Many thanks in advance , cheers :)

It's only vehicular access that's restricted. You can walk or bike to heart's content. But, assuming you're taking the car... https://www.mountaineering.scot/campaigns/safeguarding-access/strathfarrar-access

Whilst we are on the subject does anyone know if it's possible to park cars in the vicinity of Inchvuilt? Thinking of leaving a car at either end of the ridge to save time and a track walk at the end. If possible of course.

Loads of room there as far as I can remember. Parked up there before - there's no fences or anything along the side of the road, and loads of flat ground to park on.
