Stalking - Crainlarich Hills

Stalking - Crainlarich Hills

Postby Broggy1 » Wed Sep 20, 2017 11:32 am

Just looking for a bit of advice/help.

I see that deer stalking on these hills does take place at this time of year but that you seem to be ok if you stick to the ridges.

Would this include ridges that link up routes? Eg if you wanted to combine two or three walks on this website into a singular day would you be likely to encounter much stalking?

Maybe try the hill phones system?

No stalking takes place on a Sunday (but you probably knew that)

Some of the links don't really follow well defined ridges (e.g. Beinn a' Chroin to Beinn Tulaichean). Probably best to contact the estate (details via the link Sgurr posted above).

All the available stalking details from SNH are also fed into the Walkhighlands route descriptions - including contact details when these are available.

Thanks all. I'll do that as it would potentially be a Saturday.

Just a note to say that the contact details provided here (and on the hill page) are perfect and I got a reply today to advise me of what can or can not be done.

They are extremely helpful.
