I hope the rumours are not true that they chopped live trees and left the bothy in a mess. :?

It wasn't a mess, but a couple of the kids did leave their names written on the fireplace, and there was a pile of "green" branches - I couldn't say whether or not the latter were deliberately cut, nor from which trees they came. There is quite a lot of birch scrub at the rear of the bothy. My feeling is that the wood was probably collected by the kids with good intent rather than deliberate maliciousness.
