You might find that it has been a dry spell and you set off in lovely weather and then it starts to rain and rains a lot and by the time you reach the river it is in spate.
it can go up and down that quick.
if there have been several days of rain, I wouldn't risk it myself.
if it's been a really dry spell and the forecast is really good they mayb.
Myself, I'd just hold my impatience and wait for the bridge.
